This brilliant award-winning film by Tony Mortillaro has played in festivals all over the world. It's a parody of two long-forgotten 50s doo wop singers, who claim to have been the "hit factor" behind the biggest names in rock 'n' roll. (7:00 minutes)
Airplaycelebrates a time when we all listened to the radio together and the
DJ's changed our lives.

"Sh-Boom" Book Tour
A year on the road, with so many meet-and-greet book signings, produced a lot of photos. The album is a work in progress -- so many names, so many places. I am still trying to place names with a face, and attempting to place the pics in a chronological order. Feel free to add a name to a face, and/or write a comment. Link: Sh-Boom
Jeff T. Martin, an account exec from CB&S Advertising, an agency in Portland, OR, had an inspiration for Christmas TV spots for his client Fred Meyer Food stores. "I have to tell you a quick story about my presenting this idea to our client, " Jeff wrote me.
"I had a YouTube clip of the movie ready to go – the scene at the dance in which Clay Cole and his Boys are tearing it up with the title track.
So, I play the clip, and I look around at the folks in the meeting, and I have to tell you that within about 10 seconds into that thing, there was not ONE person in that room who wasn’t smiling and absolutely eating it up. And, when the clip was over, you and the tune got the ultimate compliment from a sometimes-tough crowd. There was a chorus of “Can we see that clip again?” People really liked the ads, and I’m very glad we got to use your tune. Shooting the Fred Meyer spot were easily the highlights of my year here at CB&S. "
